DESCRIPTION:Join Shepherd Center and Chastain Horse Park for a clinic focusing on safety\, horsemanship\, grooming\, and tacking. While riding a horse cannot be guaranteed\, all participants will interact with horses throughout the clinic.The $20 registration fee includes a T-shirt\, instruction\, and equipment. Financial assistance is available for most programs.Registration is required for all events and opens at least six weeks prior to the start of the class or course. Most courses require a small fee; however\, financial assistance is available. DESCRIPTION:Shepherd Center’s annual Derby Day – the largest attended and longest-running fundraising event in Shepherd Center history – is Atlanta’s biggest Kentucky Derby-themed fundraising event. Derby Day is a highlight of Atlanta’s spring social calendar\, complete with fancy hats\, seersucker suits\, mint juleps and plenty of fun. Join us for lawn and casino games\, music\, and a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby.
